The Associates of the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria

(formerly the Volunteer Committee)                  

The Associates of the AGGV supports the Gallery by sponsoring exhibitions and providing funds to assist with art purchases and children's art programs.

Membership and Benefits: Members of the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria are invited to join the Associates. Benefits include:

  •      presentations and demonstrations relating to the arts
  •      visits to artists' studios and private galleries
  •      access to art-related social and educational events
  •      subscription to our monthly newsletter, The Volunteer View
  •      opportunities to volunteer in a friendly social and cultural environment

Projects and Activities


Annual House Tour:  Victoria's premier house tour!  This annual fundraising event offers an exclusive look into a variety of beautifully designed and decorated Victoria area residences.  This important annual fundraiser is held in September. 

We also have a number of on-going smaller projects throughout the year including our very popular art travel program.  Don't miss our next trip to Edmonton to see the new Art Gallery of Alberta.

Trip to Art Gallery of Alberta

The Associates of the AGGV have organized a trip to see the stunning new Art Gallery of Alberta in Edmonton, April 14-17. Exhibitions include Degas, Goya, Karsh. There will be a private tour of the architectural and exhibition highlights by the director of the AGA followed by a reception. A visit to a private art studio and other interesting venues.  Accommodation at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald. Jon Tupper, AGGV Director will accompany the group.

Cost: $1,250 double share; $1,490 single.  $500 non-refundable deposit due March 1; balance due March 12.  Cheques only made out to Gallery Associates.

From the delicately beautiful kimono to the no holds barred imagination of the modern designer this is an event not to be missed!  Join emcee Carole Sabiston at this new fundraiser organized by the Associates.   

Only 100 tickets available to this unique event set in the intimate Spencer Mansion at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.  Guests will be treated to light refreshments and entertainment.
